If you are planning a family holiday, but have a tight budget to stick to, Cornwall is the ideal choice. The county is surrounded by stunning beaches and filled with beautiful countryside, so you can spend days in the great outdoors without having to splash out.
Among the best places to use as a base is the quiet fishing village of Mevagissey. It is wonderfully old fashioned and the narrow streets and harbour area are full of character. You will also find it is close to a number of free and low-cost attractions that are perfect for days out.
Book a south Cornwall holiday home for your stay and you will have the flexibility to come and go as you please without having to stick to hotel or guest house schedules. A family cottage here will also be less expensive and, if you wish, you can save cash on eating out by preparing your own meals using tasty locally-caught seafood.
